Are There Any Real Freebies Online? - Why Would A Company Give You Something For Free?

336x280You may be wondering why a company would want to give you something for free and the answer is simple. Giving away a product sample is the easiest way to get and even impress a potential new customer.

You may have seen a recent ad campaign in many local newspapers for a popular erectile dysfunction medication. You know the one, they have the two bathtubs in the yard in their TV ads. The company sells a very expensive product in the men's health market. The original product had to be taken just before intimacy.

They came out with a new product that is a lower dose but taken daily and they ran full page ads giving away a full months supply. The value of this offer was over $100.00 and it was offered to new customers absolutely free.

This freebie solved two very important problems for the company. One having to do with getting new customers and the other having to do with insurance companies and the government. The new customers part is obvious but the second part is a little more complicated. The government through Medicare and private insurance companies will pay for this kind of product but they limit the number of pills to three per month.

Now I don't know how they figured that three intimacies a month was all a man deserved or needed but for some men this was a government intrusion into their lives that was unacceptable.

For the product manufacture it meant selling small quantities of the product to each customer. By creating a daily prescription dosage the company was able to short circuit the government intrusion into the lives of Medicare recipients and the insurance companies because doctors were asked to write a monthly prescription instead of an as-wanted prescription.

Here is a case where giving away a very expensive product really paid off. If the customer liked and tolerated the new daily dosage their insurance would cover all or part of the monthly cost eliminating the question of how many times a month the customer was allowed to have intimacy.
